Sprafke Home   A RENOVATION TO UPDATE THE MODERN Prior to being renovated, the exterior entry to this steel-beamed A-frame home lacked definition. A new design replaced the steep staircase with fewer steps, making the approach both safer and more inviting. To maintain the original lines of the house, steel was used to provide sleek strength to the porch roof. Click photo to enlarge   The interior staircase, which originally consisted of two jack-knived stringers, now comprises a grand central stairway that splits dramatically to add elegance and convenience.
